Modicon M580 ePAC
The M580 ePAC is the top of the Modicon range: an Ethernet backbone controller where the CPU speaks Ethernet natively instead of through a separate communication card. It supports hot-standby CPU redundancy with bumpless switchover, remote and distributed I/O over Ethernet, cybersecurity features (Achilles certified, integrated firewall and access control) and long-term availability. We use it wherever a stop is unacceptable — drinking water production, pump stations feeding a city, and plant-wide process control tied into SCADA.
