Safety Interlocks & Guard Switches (XCS)
Interlocks make a guard part of the control system: opening the door removes the safe signal, and with guard locking the door itself stays closed until residual motion has stopped. RFID-coded versions defeat the classic bypass with a spare actuator, which is the most common reason a guard stops protecting anyone.

Key characteristics
- Mechanical, magnetic and RFID uniquely-coded versions
- Optional solenoid guard locking, power-to-lock or power-to-release
- Metal or plastic bodies, IP67 for washdown environments
- Series wiring up to PL e with coded devices
- Escape release and emergency unlocking variants
Typical applications
Guard doors, hatches and enclosures that must stay locked until motion stops
