Safety Light Curtains (XUSL)
Light curtains protect an opening that has to stay open — material infeed, an operator loading position, a robot cell entrance. Resolution defines what the barrier detects: 14 mm for finger protection close to the hazard, 30 mm for hand protection at a distance calculated from the stopping time of the machine. Muting and blanking allow product to pass while a person still cannot.
